Capture One will run one Mac OS X 1.4 Tiger as well as the upcoming 64-bit version of Windows.

Phase One will not make any specific support for the 64-bit processor because there is currently no benefit in doing so.
64-bit support is primarily for programs that needs to address more than 2 or 4 GB of memory and Capture One does not come near to having that memory need.

Here is a link that tells about the benefits of using 64-bit on the Mac.

While processing is quite quick, Capture One Pro DSLR takes forever to create thumbnails under 10.4 Tiger. Is this an Apple or Phase One problem? It's slow enough that I had to go back to 10.3 on my Powerbook, and am considering doing the same even on my dual 2Ghz G5.

Anyone else noticed this? Any fix on the way?

Yes I just installed Tiger on a dual 2.0 G5 and am having the same problem with the very slow creation of thumnails when going to a new or previous session. In addition, even after the thumnails are finally drawn the application uses a lot of processor time. Even when doing nothing at all the application is taking 50-90% of the processer usage.
I know Phase One has been very good about fixing things, I hope they can get on this one quickly.

    Addendum

I was using the 2.7 RC1. Installing C1Pro 2.6.1 seems to have helped the problem.
The previews seem to be loading more quickly and then the application no longer hogs the cpu afterwards

Not just in SanFrancisco 😊 but also in Nottingham Tiger seems to bring Capture One to a standstill. Please let us know ow long the fix will take
    TIA

I don't think this is just a Tiger issue. Version 3.7 of C1 Pro is massively slower than 3.6 in generating thumbnails, to the point where it is becoming unusable and I have had to purchase Olympus Studio just to process orf files quickly.

I am running the software on a dual 2.5 ghz powerpc g5 and find that the imports and the creation of thumbnails take forever. This is unacceptable and Phase One need to hurry and make a fix for this problem.

I am so glad I am not alone. Have both a Dual G4 and a G5. Thumbnails are brutal!

The reason I bought C1 was to IMPROVE and SPEED UP my workflow.

    Headed in the wrong direction.

With wedding season just beginning. Waiting for 600+ thumbnails to load will be painful. Please let us know when to expect a correction.

    Cheers,

Downloaded new 3.7 just mins ago.

Language turns spanish and impossible to change in info-window. Even if user rights are set to system. And previews are sloooooooow. running 2.5 G5 with 4G of ram.

    Any help?

I am running Tiger on a Dual 2.5 G5 with 4GB of ram and I am having the same problems as the others: Capture One 3.7 (final version) is creating very, very, very slow thumbnails/previews, to the point of being painful.

Apple removed \"Colorsync Preferences\" from Colorsync Utility. Now it is officially not possible to change default destination color profiles. You can check at http://lists.apple.com/archives/colorsy ... 00030.html

According to Mac OS X 10.4's help system, now each application needs its own interface for setting default color profiles.

IMHO Apples decision and way of dealing with this (not asking anyone/not telling anyone) is stupid. Whatever the case, Capture One is (slightly) underfeatured in Tiger (not that my life depends on that missing feature, though).

    We need an update.
