Is there any advantage to using managed images?
Hi all,
I have scoured the net for information on this and came up with nothing.
Is there any advantage to using managed files over referenced files?
A large disadvantage I see is when it comes to backups.
Unless i am missing something, surely any change, regardless of size, will require the entire catalog file (including images)to be backed up each time rather than just the catalog file itself (as in lightroom)?
That said, the 'Backup Catalog' function only backs up the catalog and not the images?
I am new to Mac's and i am thoroughly confused by this, so any advice or pointers would be great.
Thanks

If your backup software understands OSX Package files then it will only backup the files that have changed in the package. Apple's Time Machine works like this. 0 -
Ah ok, i did wonder about that. Package files are a new thing to me. Lots to learn 😊
