How to search landscape or portrait pictures

I would say this very much makes sense. Whether the format of a picture is landscape or portrait could be included in the metadata, and then you could search on it easily. New feature?!

I think it actually is (in Exif), and I believe that is the information Capture One depends on to present an image in orientation as captured. File a request for having the Exif orientation tag available in a filter. There is more to orientation than landscape/portrait. Exif has 8 values for orientation, 4 of them portrait mode. An image may be rotated, mirrored and flipped. When filtering on Portrait, you may have to specify which portrait orientation you want to filter 😊
