"Windows Driver -- Leaf Image Inc" -- a 10GB file?
Hi all,
I just purchased Capture One 5.1. I had tried it on a 30-day trial and it quickly became my favorite RAW converter, so I paid for it. I have two questions:
(1) I suddenly have an application file that's labeled "Windows Driver Manager -- Leaf Image Inc." and it's listed as 10GB in size!! I talked to Capture One support and they say they have no such file. Has this appeared for anyone else lately?
(2) Launching Capture One is sluggish. It takes a full minute for the little "Capture One" square to appear and then another full minute for the workspace to appear. I imagine this could be relationed to my first question. (I run Windows XP on a Sony Vaio VGR laptop -- plenty of memory and hard-disk space. I also had Bibble 5 and Lightroom 3 on there, but they'll be coming off soon.)
Thanks for any insight you can provide.

During installation of CO 5.1 you get the message to optionally install Leaf device drivers. If you do not have Leaf backs, you do not need that (according to my own authority, your risk 😁 ). Have you accidently said yes during installation on CO 5.1, you can remove it afterwards through Control Panel. I believe your note refers to the Control Panel entry.
On my XP SP3 machine the size of the Leaf driver package is 1.125,00 MB, approx. 1 GB (not 10 GB). This is greatly exaggerated (the 1.125,00 MB size); it is probably close to 1.125,00 KB. Remove the entry by uninstalling it if you wish.
I do not expect your system to start up CO 5.1 faster due to uninstalling the Leaf drivers.0
