live view orientation
I am new to capture one and I am presently using the new 9.0.1 version with my nikon d800. Is there a way in live view to
lock the orientation when you are directly overhead the subject? There is a orientation tab in the camera section but the selection is greyed out. It is very close to working correctly but it does not take much movement to have it jump back and
forth between vertical and horizontal. I am using and iMac with 10.10.3 installed. Thanks for any help.

this seems to be an old problem and if you make a forum search you'll find other posts about it. It has something to do with the gyro sensor built into Nikon and not supported in C1 when camera pointing straight down. Have not tried it myself anymore in C1 9 but obviously still the same. It was already faulty in C1 8. The only solution is not to align the camera 100% straight down, but this is not a good workaround. I have made several feature requests / bug fixe requests and they promised to fix it but this never happened...
the other solution I did at that time is not using live view for reproduction work. They suggest though to use a Phase One which is supposed to work perfectly for that... ☹️0
