File names in v6 versus v7

I'm having issues with file names in files that worked in v6, but now causes v7 to have many issues. One of my e-commerce clients uses decimals in their file names (1234.56789.1234.123.cr2) and moving that file from capture folder in v7 causes a "missing file" preview error. It actually moves the file, although the preview is stuck in the capture folder with a big ? on it. I opened a support case with p1, but there response was to rename everything. Only if I rename everything, it adds extra steps into the workflow, in a situation where the last 3 versions (4, 5, 6) of c1pro did NOT have issues. Not only that, but any other character I tried seems to have similar issues, as it really needs to be a character on the number pad since the pace of the shoot is very fast. I know about stuff like Better Finder Rename, but as far as I am concerned, it is something that is BROKEN in v7.

Anyone else noticing this issue?

*edit: mac 10.8.2, c1 pro v7.0.1 versus c1pro (previous versions, but now 6.4.2 and 6.4.4)
