Rotate portrait D100 NEF files? - Read xmp data from Bridge?
Hi,
1 - Does anyone know how to batch rotate portrait orientation NEF files from the Nikon D100 camera?
I now use the D2X and they are automatically rotated.
But I have thousands of travel pictures taken with my old D100 camera, that I want to reprocess in capture one. I like the way it processes files better than with my old bridge application.
Is there a way of batch rotate the vertical files in C1 since the xmp files of bridge do not seem to transfer to C1?
I remember being a nightmare having to rotate them one by one or a few at the time in Bridge back then!...
2 - Is there a way to rename the xmp file along with the file itself to keep the xmp settings created in bridge and associated with the file - like the orientation - and then transfer those to C1?
I renamed in iview because it allows to eliminate/replace part of the name but keep the original camera name of 4 digits. But the xmp are not renamed along with the files and I loose the settings even in Bridge itself.
3 - Reading the discussions back in early to mid 2006, people (PhaseOne?) were saying that xmp data was supposed to become transferrable to C1 within 6 months.
Does anyone know if it happenned or when it will ???... 😊
I use a G5 with Mac OS X 10.4.8
Thanks
Veronique
