Files given - settings not applied!

Hi,

I've been trying to find an answer to this but I'm clearly not putting in the correct words as this should be a straight forward thing.

Basically, I've been given a couple of .iiq files along with the CaptureOne folder that contains the Cache (Proxies > .iiq.cof and .iiq.cop files) and the Settings50 (.iiq.cos files) folders. I have also been given the .tifs for them too and it's clear that the settings are not being applied as they are totally different. No other files or folders have been supplied and I know that the photographer is running the same version of C1 as me.

What am I doing wrong, why aren't the settings being applied?

I'm running Capture One 6.1 on a MacPro OSX 10.6.8 with all the bells and whistles.

I know this should be 101 stuff, but I don't use C1 that often so please bear with me.

First, do you KNOW that the IIQ files have been edited in Capture One and that the Settings files (.cos) hold adjustments?

When you access the IIQ files in Capture One the settings files need to be in the proper directory for Capture One to recognize them. The proper example of this is below;

Please make sure the Settings files (.cos) has the same name as the RAW bit with the extension .cos, otherwise it won't be read with association to the RAW. Also be sure the directory is the same as above.

Alternatively, the person that provided you the RAW files could have packed them as EIP to make things easier. One file which includes the RAW, Settings and custom ICC files should they be necessary.
