It is probably the automatic lens corrections being applied. See other thread about the automatic lens corrections.

Hi Steven, thanks for the suggestion. I checked the article that you were referring to, however after some time it occurred to me that the lens correction does not apply to the JPG files. The issue that I experience, effects both RAW and JPG files.
Your assumption that it is due to an automatic correction, may still hold, however so far I haven't found the culprit. Any ideas?

Select an image with modified status, chose Copy Adjustments and go to the Adjustments Tab. This will show you what adjustments have been applied to the image. with quite high likelihood it's related to Lens Corrections, several of my DNG's and JPG's get auto applied some lens corrections of sorts even though I can't really see any difference and they are are not supposed to be supported by Lens Corrections as far as I've understood.

    Cheers,
    Andreas

    Thanks Andreas,
    I tried that:
reset adjustments -> status column gets cleared
step away from the item in the preview list
step back to the item in the preview list -> status now shows as "changed"
Copy Adjustments -> none of the items in the "ADJUSTMENTS CLIPBOARD" gets checked.

Even when checking all the items on the clipboard one by one, Copy Adjustments will clear them all.

Should I open a support case?

Just checked this, and I'm seeing (more or less) the same on JPG's and DNG's that get some automatic adjustments, all related to lens corrections apparently. I do have to quit and restart C1 to get the "adjusted" icon pop up after Reset Adjustments, and then the ticked boxes for lens correction pop up under the Adjustments tab when I do Copy Adjustments. Stepping away and back again from the image keeps the reset state for me. Looks to me that C1 applies the automatic correction when it redraws the image upon load, would make sense to check this with Customer Support. Not a big issue for me, but I do prefer that images showing "Adjusted" status are actually adjusted...

    Cheers,
    Andreas
