All Images / Disable or limit Preview generations (?)

Hello,

is it possible to disable or limit previews generation ?

Previews are most of the time fine, but if I click on "All Images", C1 start the generation of thousand of pictures which tend to slow down everything, and not be really smart..

By the way, on my system, "All Images" result most of the time to crash or the program being unresponsive (waiting for minutes until the program respond..)

  Try opening the catalog using all images then just leaving it alone overnight. That seemed to have helped me.
  Once I got the catalog to work, I created different groups for different types of photos.
  For example:
  I have a group called "Travel" and within that group I will create Albums for the different travel destinations.
  Whatever album you are in when you close C1, will open when you restart.
  It opens much, much faster.
  I imagine you could create albums based on dates and get the same results.
