Batch Renaming Variants

Is there a way to select several Variants at once and Batch Rename without renaming the originals?

Best workaround I can find is just naming the output but sometimes it's useful to be able to rename it in Raw phase.

    I really really wish there was, but at present secondary variants are all bound to the original RAW file name and can't easily be renamed. It's been this way for quite some time and not the highest priority on the feature request list I'm sure so I wouldn't expect it to change any time soon.

    You can add the variant position to the name when you export.
    As raw files it is easy to tell the files are from the same image, so I would not rename the variant.
    When I export I like to know which variant it was that the file came from so adding the variant number to the rename works well for me.
