    Hello,

Every time we update the software to a new version, I have to manually re create my workspace, custom tab and development recipes which is a hassle, does anyone know how to do this "pointing" the new version of the software to the old settings thus saving all the work doing it over and over?

    thanks,

Can you please state your update procedure?

    Sure,

We download the new version of the software i.e. CaptureOne.v7.1.3.dmg, open it and install in the same location where the previous version lived, i.e. Applications folder. Normally if I recall right, the installer asks if you would like to replace the old version, to which I answer yes.

    Is that what you meant?

    thanks.

    HI Dave,

Do you mean "save workspace" when you say save desktop?

    Thank you.

Sorry, yes I did mean workspace, you can save as many custom workspaces as you need and load then as required.

I did not know that this was the way to do it. I will try upgrading and restoring the workspace as you suggest.
    Thank you,
    Germán.

Still strange the issue occurred to the OP. I know CO7 does not always revert to the used workspace after an update, but other preferences should remain in place.

Regarding workspaces: yes, it is a good habit to save your custom workspace anyway. It is like saving your work.
