Things i really i want and need in C1...Please...
1.It's really uncomfortable to move rejected photos to the TRASH, in LightRoom rejected button is better.
How can i delete 10-15 photos i do not like fase?
It really botheres my mind...Please please PLEASE...Make something with it...
Raiting is cool but it's not so fast and well done as in LightRoom...
2. Rotation and Crop..
Why it can't be as simple as in LightRoom? 1 tool for 1 action, instead of 4 in Capture One?
3. Noise..
Please please make a noise module, i like my pictures to have some really rough feeling, and i do not want to move them to photoshop...It's so simple so...3 more sliders please, if you don't mind...
Thank you.

Hi Alex,
Hey buddy! I didn't expect to bump you here. I visit this place on occasion to see if others have similar problems I'm facing.
I think it is best to submit a case directly via their site if you want your voice heard. I sometimes feel that P1's priority is towards their MF back customers since they paid upwards of 10K+ on their camera hardware and so they expect their software (C1) to be near perfect.
Anyway...I digress. I agree with your thoughts; however I want to say that as much as I'd like these goodies to be added, they are considered superfluous and impractical for a RAW SOFTWARE CONVERTER. CaptureONE PRO is firstly a RAW converter and nothing else. The software literally and figuratively used to fly (an expression used to conveyed unparalleled, expedient performance). These days, it became bloat-y and performance suffered.
The requests you described are in the jurisdiction of Photoshop, a pixel editing software. I don't think sliders could mimic realistic grain, unless the P1 programmers have an impeccable grain-mimicking algorithm deployed. If you want to add realistic grain, try to find someone with a film camera and photograph grey and neutral surfaces using the film and ISO of interest. Then, scan these film and place them as texture overlays in Photoshop. That will yield super realistic "film" look that you're after.
I agree with your request for rotation or rather, flipping an image. Sometimes, flipping the image (mirror reflection) enhances the composition and visual aesthetics of the photograph and subject in question. Regardless, I think this option should be implemented.
As for the TRASH, don't even started on that!!!
Did you realize that when you click on the "Empty Trash Folder," the contents in the folder are not emptied out? Take some snapshots that you're going to trash. Bring them into your C1PRO and trash them. Go to the physical location on the drive and you'll see your files in the Trash folder. Execute the "Empty Trash Folder" command under the File menu. You'll see that your contents are deleted but NOT the residual "CaptureOne" folder. It kinds of annoys me that these residual folders exist in my folder, where I store my images since 2007. It would be tedious to go and manually delete these residual, empty folders that serve no functional value.
I hope you like using the software, despite having SEVERAL, quirky "buggy" behaviors and observations.0 -
Ronald you're more experienced photographer and it's no doubt. I swithced from LightRoom to C1, because of you 😉
But i'm missing this little things so much, and i really think that some people do too.
Probably you finish every image in Photoshop, but if it's just a friend portrait or some shots you just need a simple RAW edit ? I really like C1 tones...
By the way, dear dear C1 developers...
And CURVES...In Photoshop they are so smooth and nice...In C1they are good but rough to move...

Alexander,
I think you may find ways to do a lot of what you want to do but maybe not some extreme settings. Perhaps stacking multiple layers of changes (at least for the tools that are currently available in layers) might give interesting results?
I find the Curve tool has very fine adjustments if you use the 'mouse wheel' options. I have not used Lightroom since V1.4 except for a quick assessment of V3 when it was released. Is Lightroom more sensitive?
I agree that it would be nice to crop and rotate at the same time although I have found this to be less of an annoyance than I thought it was going to be at the start of my time with C1.

Just for instance, who findes curves physics in Adobe Photoshop better than Capture One's?
Of course, so many people, so many oppinions.
I do like Capture One tones better, but it definetly needs some programmers work.
In LightRoom like in Any Adobe product everything is smooth and fast, in Capture One even sliders are really rough to move.
It's just different feeleing of course.0
