No processing at all in 4.8.1
hey, i have a real bad problem: c1 pro 4.1.8 is not processing a any images. there is just simply no output at all. in the queue one can see the pictures but the queue does not start. and yes, i clicked on the button below to start / stop it several times.
i have: MBP early 08 with 2,4 GHZ, 4 GB RAM, lots of free disk space and all the latests updates from apple (10.5.7).
i tried: restarting software + mac. deleting prefs, deleting library folder (in application support), repairing rights with main menu, deleting c1 with appcleaner and reinstall. and yes, i tried to search the forum (which is not easy because the search ignores the words "not" and "process" as being too common... this is not very helpful since processing is a vital part of c1pro).
everything else seems to work fine in C4. i had the same problem with 4.6.(?) BUT i remember it worked with C1pro 4 already at some point. i just can't say at the moment what version that was (i presume some 4.6. version but cant tell for sure).
thanks!

Have you already tried to delete the session file (*.col45)? Other tip: create a new session; clear process queue AND history queue. Other tip: create new user on computer and run CO4 from that user. 0 -
paul, i love you!
so, the new session didn't do the trick but a new user account did. there everything works flawless. on my old user account c1pro also tends to crash very easily.
so the logical follow up question: what files on my old user do i have to delete to behave c1 like on the new user? a reinstall obviously was not enough...
thanks again paul!

In your old user accounts folders, I would first look into the process queue and process history folder: ~/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Batch Queue. I noticed that although I cleared the process history from within CO4, there is still a list of .job files (and 2 .xml files). Clear the folder; delete all these files.
If you want to make a more rigorous step, you can wipe out (or move first) the entire ~/Library/Application Support/Capture One folder. CO4 will create a new with the next run. Note that any preset, recipe etc you created will be lost. Last resort.
It is good practice to backup this Application Support/Capture One folder while CO4 is still working properly (saving customizations) and restore it when it is not.0 -
thanks paul!
so deleting de prefs and the folder in application support i already tried yesterday but it didnt help. and now even worse: i looged in to my NEW user account to copy the prefs and the c1 application support folder from there to my old account, just to see if it helps. but before i even did that i thought i try c1 again. so i clicked on the processbutton and - ! it did not start the process. it's exactly the same prob i had before. files are in the cue but nothing is happening...
i cannot believe it. what is wrong with my system??0 -
I suggest to use the NEW user to try and test the tips I wrote in my previous post (removing batch queue folder) and start CO4 again to see if you found the culprit. 0 -
will do. its horrible. i consider to reinstall my whole system. but can't do that right now...
thanks again.0 -
I had a same problem, but I resolved it.
Try delete this> user name/library/preferences/ any file named lika com.phaseone...... Should be three.0 -
I was having this problem and I think I found the bug: the "batch" section was not located in any of the tool areas (some previous user had removed it I believe, during their customization), and as soon as I added it as a section under my processing tool, it started right up.
best,

Matt, you just saved my butt with that one. It's funny that you can remove the batch tool from the batch tab and not even realize it.
