Sandisk Extreme III Capture One LE
Yesterday I received an Sandisk Extreme III 2GB Compact Flash card ordered on-line but it did NOT contain Capture One LE software as advertised. Contacting Sandisk they claim that the card is older stock and therefore did not contain Capture One LE software and that there is nothing they can or are prepared to do.
Sandisk acknowledge that they have received several similar calls to tech support but have NO contingency plans to support their customers other than "pointing the finger" at either the on-line supplier or Phase One. Their suggested solution was for the "customer" to make certain (how, when you order on-line) the product packaging was marked with (Capture One LE) or return the opened package to the supplier and the customer's expense. THIS LACK OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND ABSENCE OF AN OBVIOUS CONTINGENCY PLAN TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF CUSTOMERS RECEIVING "OLDER STOCK" IS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY.
Going to the Sandisk site recommends the following:
Question
Capture One I did not receive a Capture One LE installation disk when I purchased my Extreme III Compact Flash card. Where can I get the capture one software?
Answer ID: 352 Created: 01/25/2006 Updated: 06/02/2006
For Products: Professional Memory Cards -> All Extremeâ„¢ III CompactFlash
Value Added Software -> -> Capture One
Category(s): Computer Only
Answer
The Capture One LE software is only available through download from the Phase One website, www.phaseone.com.
Use the product key that came with your Extreme III CompactFlash card to activate the Capture One software.
MY QUESTION:
How do I and others like myself resolve this situation? At present "Seth B", a support supervisor at Sandisk, appears only prepared to pass the buck and refuses to provide any level of solution to his company's "false advertsing".
Suggestions please...
