    In the Preferences > Image > Editing section > check "Make new files writable by everyone".

    Maybe this only works when you create new file after this setting is checked, so it might not help directly with your current session.

    Curious to know whether this helped.

    Hello Paul,thanks for the hint it did not work;
    the latest problem since updating on CO Pro7.1.1 yesterday is that I cannot work on the server at all! I don´t even get my pictures shown in the viewer!
    Does somebody know about problems working directly on a server?
    Thanks for your comments,
    Peter

    Your session / capture folder is on a server on your network? What server? (please provide details - mac / pc etc). If it is, you will have to speak to the person responsible for that server and how they created the shared folder that you are trying to write to. Shared folders on a server have the permissions set on the server, so you will probably have to change / relax the permissions at the server for that shared folder before you can write to it from C1.

    Make sure the username /password you are using to attach to the server with has full read/write permissions to that folder and that the permissions are set to propagate to subfolders too (they may need to be re-propagated if you change them). Also, it's best if the folder is shared as an AFP (apple osx) share not SMB (windows) if you are on a Mac.

    In case you ask, no, I do not know why it was working for v6 and does not for v7.

    It looks like the user is trying to create the settings70 folder when using C1 7.x and is denied.
    C1 6.x is working because setting50 already exists on the server ?
