    Good morning!
    I have a 3.X C1PRO licence and I guess I have 1 free upgrade left. (Now I'm using C1 4.8.3PRO on mac)
Should I deactivate 4.8.3 license before installing v5.0? What's the correct procedure?

    Thank you

Being on the safe side - like you described - sounds like a correct procedure to me.

From my point of vue, it could be more complex, in regard to licence agreement, as we think : if you upgrade PS CS3 to CS4 you HAVE to have CS3 installed : it's an upgrade ! After upgrading, CS3 and CS4 both remain activated.

Question with Phase One could be different because they don't look what you have on your computer but what is the soft, registered and activated, that you upgrade : all this is in their DB.. (Phase One DB; for user very good to manage licences). Thenafter, when you have C1 Pro v5 installed, you will probably nomore use v4.x ?? Otherwise, why to upgrade ?

    Cheers.

A bit of topic, but this is not correct IMHO. I have installed upgrade versions of CS2, CS3 and CS4 on a new computer with no previous Photoshop installation. The setup program asks for either the older CD/DVD or license code to check whether you are entitled to install the upgrade and continues the setup after the check (if with positive result).
