tethered vs. compact flash - problem
Everything that I shot tethered has behaved perfectly, exactly as I wanted it and thus far very happy -
everything that I shot onto compact flash though -
as soon as I put the card into my reader the C1 dialogue asks me if I want to import the files, which I do, into the same folder as I was shooting tethered.
All the imported CF produced shots behave in the C1 interface the same way that the tethered shots do, until I go to export. Pushing out High rez jpegs, the CF produced shots are all screwed up.. cropped, rotated, and hard to describe.. but not at all right.
Is there a step I missed?

shimmen,
Much more of your workflow details are needed, but I'll try to keep this simple.
I don't think you would have this problem if you downloaded files from CF card into their own Session Folder. I think this is what you should do to check results. If problem persists, we'll need to dig deeper.

I'll assume you're shooting a Canon, but don't know the model. Some have the ability to autorotate images shot both Portrait and Landscape.
There are also some Preference settings that have an affect on files as well. See what you have set at the Preferences > Process Settings at the bottom.
Let us know how this goes, and you're welcome to Create a Support Case if you think we are going to have to really work on this.

I need these shots, so I've left them on the card and tried importing them a few different ways. I'll try to provide as many details as possible.
I'm shooting with a 1ds (mk 1) with the 1.3 firmware. I can't find any feature to enable/disable auto-orientation of the image. Since I originally posted, I've found that the corruption I\"ve mentioned only affects images that were shot in portrait alignment, the landscape aligned images are fine.
The file system on the CF card continues to show the \"last modified\" date as being the date and time when the images were shot, though I'm perturbed to see that the images are oriented correctly - I'm not sure how C1 is getting that data, as I've imported the files a few different times into different folders trying to get more information.
I think this batch just may be lost. I will try another test this weekend, with expendable images, and report back here if the error persists.0 -
The 1Ds does not have a rotation sensor so images will always be landscape when imported, rotation has to be done afterwards in Capture One.
Because you have hard time desribing it I suggest that you create a support case with us and attach a screen dump showing the issue to the case.0
