vignette pink color cast
Do you have the same problem with the vignette tool? This happened since version 6.0 but I thought it was my fault but it happens with all images that have a bright content.
When I apply a dark vignette to an image with bright content (blown out highlights - no color information) let's say a wedding bride and groom then the corners get an annoying purple/pink color cast. I don't know what causes this effect.
thanks
Daniel

Maybe you have a Canon and/or use a low ISO setting? 0 -
Yes I have a Canon, the 1D Mark IV and I was on ISO 320. The pink color cast appeared since Capture One Pro 6.0. Also when using the exposure tool all the way down to -3 this color cast becomes visible. It must have something to do how blown highlights are interpreted by Capture One 6.0.
I've checked my files with Adobe Camera RAW and Lightroom 3 and there is no pink color cast.

Please submit a support case with a RAW file as soon as possible.
This is something that has to be corrected in Capture One's image core.0 -
Thanks Ulf,
support case already done. Hopefully this issue will be fixed with the next update.

This is still a problem in 6.3 ☹️ 0 -
Yes in 6.3 the problem still exists. The guys from the support told me that it will be fixed but they can't say when.
Until then I have to mask out the areas and decrease saturation to get rid of the magenta cast. It's not good for every picture because you can see the B&W area then.0 -
I have managed to reduce the effect via an advanced color edit now. 0
