Healing brush source picker is crazy. Bug?

Yep! I have taken this an "entertainment feature". Every time I heal a spot on the image I will be treated to a random source selection. It's like playing the slot machine in a casino. You never know what you'll get when you pull the handle. Here, I never know what source point C1 will choose when I click on the screen! 😂

It's easy enough to "fix" this by dragging the source point selection anywhere else on the image. 😉

Yes I have seen this as well.
It doesnt happen all the time but frequently enough for me to not understand why it is happening and that it shoudl be reported.

Have you raised it as a Support Case?
If you have then please paste in the number so that I can support and confirm your findings.

I just use the option key to pick my own source.
But yeah, the auto selection seems as though its just random.

And there's just no excuse for that because Lightroom's healing tool is amazing in its intelligent selection of source points. You can almost just go around a face to be touched up and go click-click-click and you're done. Every once in a while you might need to fine tune the source for one healing point.
