Try this. click the wifi signal icon on the top of the screen.
Click create network. Window pops open asking if you want to create computer to computer network.
I leave it at whatever it is and don't set up a password.
The wifi icon should turn solid gray with a little computer in it.
Launch CO6. start image server. launch capture pilot on iPad.

It works for me this way. Good luck.

Sorry, I forgot to mention. You need go into the wifi setting of your iPad and select the network you created on the laptop. usually the name of your laptop.

No luck. When I do that I can see the server on the server list under Local (bonjour) but as soon as I click on it I get the same results. It goes to a black screen that says connecting but nothing ever happens except a server unavailable message telling me to turn off bluetooth. Which incidentally was never on.

I just tried my setup and initially it gave me the same no network. I quit capture pilot on the ipad and relaunch. works fine.
bluetooth on laptop and ipad are off on mine.

What a bummer. I've reinstalled and even tried naming the network and password protecting it. No luck. The same results on my iPhone too. Is there a capture one preference that I'm missing?

Does it work when you are on a local wireless network? on my laptop I am on 10.6
just to double check, when you quit capture pilot on your ipad you are going back to the home screen. double clicking the home button to see all apps running and then quit from there.

I will have to try it out on a local wireless network later. Right now we are on location with nothing but the iPhone for internet. Yes I do close the app by double clicking the home button and quitting from there. My macs must have some bad mojo today. The laptop is 10.6.4, the app is 1.1 and the software is 6.1.1
