    Hi

I'm a no-longer-mournful former Aperture user and happy to share my experiences to see if they will help you. I did not use Aperture exactly as you so YMMV in regard to the success of what follows.

CO7 was one of the first possible replacements I tried but I did not follow through because of library import issues. I then came upon Aperture Exporter (https://apertureexporter.com) about the same time that CO8 was released. After going through the process of whether to use CO8 in Session or Catalog mode I settled on Catalog with User Collections with Albums, and Groups that mimic my aperture structure, and used Aperture Exporter to import my Aperture Albums, one at a time, into Albums and Groups in CO8.

It all went smoothly. The only thing I don't like so much (and this is 100% personal preference) is that you have to use your SD card to import the images and they have to go into the Recent Imports folder first and then be dragged to the album of choice. The Recent Imports is more or less the same as Aperture Projects but in Aperture you could specify the album destination at the time of import and could import from the camera via the USB lead (I just get twitchy about the potential for user stupidity ending up corrupting the SD card).

Thank you, I have not find what I was searching for but with a long and repetitive work I'm going to import my library.

BIG QUESTION... how can I manage raw+jpg? Sometimes happens that I shot raw+jpg, aperture has option to import raw only in case of raw+jpg file, I can't find it in captureONE, I can't import raw filetype only because it happens that I shot jpg only as in case of in-camera HDR

If you use Aperture Exporter it will transfer all the images in the Album or Project that you select. Therefore all you need to do it to be sure that the jpegs and raws are both in the item to be moved.

I'm sure there are are ways to do this too, but the above worked for me.

For aperture maybe I can but not from lightroom, anyway after the question I found a script that check if in the folder there are jpg with the same name of raws and reject them, I would prefer a real software with a GUI but..

Not my problem becomes how to edit metadata, if I forgot to change time zone during a travel, how can I add two hours at the creation time of one photo? In lightroom it was pretty easy

You can do this in C1 as well.
In the Import panel you'll find the Collection field. One of the choices there is Selected Album. When that is set your images will also be in the album you have indicated in your user collections after import.
If I recall well it works more or less the same in Aperture.

Thanks Martin. I did try that early on but must have been experiencing newbie numbness as it did not (seem to) work - I'll give it another go!
