Processing is slowing down the computer

I've seen several people report that 32GB of RAM fixes it.

On my installation (Mac) CO will use nearly 10GB on its own - so that would be really tough on a 16GB machine running anything else at all. Even the OS!

Yeh, just leave your mac untouched it does very CPU and GPU intense task.
Even on 32GB RAM machine is mostly unusable on export of variants.

In my experienced all Macbook Pro's (quad cores) retina and non-retina becomes near unusable during processing, there isn't really a work around as it utilises all cores. On the Mac Pro (2013) 6 cores and up you can still shoot, check focus and process at the same time without any slow-down!

    Hello !

I discover how to eliminate the slow problem of my mac :
all C1+prefs uninstall and reinstall !
I never did it, just install the new one each time.

    that's all !
