Printing Fails. Cannot print at all.
Phase... Where do you want bug reports? At this point I could easily open 20 support cases, but that seems counter productive.
Anyway printing fails as follows.
Hit the print button. Go to margins section, slide margin sliders left. The slider disappears and the text field displays NaN.
I tried the following to fix it.
1. Overtyping.
2. Selecting a new printer.
3. Closing and restarting.
So right now I can't print using CO7.

Can't reproduce the print error. I suggest you report as many bugs and issues to Phase One. You can open a support case for that. That is not counter productive, as long as you can take the time to open a case.

Hi!
I've got the same printing issue. How I got there:
# Imported a couple of images into a new catalog
# Selected 1 image to test printing
# Selected HP B9100 Series
# Selected borderless 4x6
# Went to margins page
# Changed margins by typing '0' as new value and 'tab' for next margin value to get rid of exisiting margins
Now margins are 'NaN'. Hint states: 'The number must be greater or equal to -0.01. Please correct the value or press Esc to restore the previous value.
# 'Esc' closes the print window instead of correcting the value.
# No sliders to drag
# No response when clicking into sliding lane
# No overtyping possible
# Changing printer doesn't help
# Changing paper size doesn't help
# Changing template doesn't help
# Changing Layout doesn't help
# Restart doesn't help
# Lost image in preview on print dialog, only having a white area0 -
Exact same behaviour here. Have not opened support case yet, as printing is not that important for me at that stage...

I just opened a support case.
Want to print some photo rags A3+, so I reverted to 6.4.4. Surprisingly needed to re-activate that one.0 -

Hi Hans,
would you mind keeping us updated here about your support case?
That bug is not really a big deal for me, but who knows, when I would need it and then it would be great to print borderless....
Thanks in advance
Greetings

+1 for this bug; only empty paper leaves the printer. iMac / OSX 10.8.2, CaptureOne 7, Canon A3 printer. 0 -
Hello Bernhard, and all others, too,
P1 already responded to my service case. Currently I'm uploading a catalog of mine for analysis.
For the time being I'm using the flow I used in C1v5: exporting to PS and print from there. I'll keep you informed, but I may not be online every day.
Regards,
Hans-B.
PS:
# using C1v7 in trial mode.
# Macbook Pro 17", mid 2009, 2.8GHz, 8GB RAM, 10.8.2 Mountain Lion
# tried a session: same problem
# tried a new catalog: same problem0 -
Thanks Hans, that's great 😊 0 -
To share my findings (I informed P1 C1 support, too):
In com.phaseone.captureone7.plist I found:
<key>PrintLayout</key>
<dict>
:
<key>BottomMargin</key>
<real>nan</real>
:
<key>LeftMargin</key>
<real>nan</real>
:
<key>RightMargin</key>
<real>nan</real>
:
<key>TopMargin</key>
<real>nan</real>
:
</dict>
Resetting all 'nan' to valid numbers, e.g. '1', brings printing back, but setting margins for borderless paper to '0' brings the issue back. (Quit, edit and re-open necessary to recover.)
When creating the issued situation: it is no problem to set one value in a left/right or top/bottom pair to '0'. The problem is caused by the second value of the pair being set to '0', too. Then the first part of the pair becomes 'NaN' and the print interface becomes unresponsive.
Can one of you confirm it?

Hi Hans-B.,
I cannot confirm about the plist file, I just had a quick view as I'm short of time and did not find the section you mention, but the rest of the behaviour is the same as you describe...when I choose a contact sheet or something else in the presets (US format for example) I get the borders back and I see the picture. I can then change back to A4 borderless and full page for example, then I got the border view from the start, when I change the borders then again, it starts all over again...

Hi,
P1 was able to reproduce the print margin bug, and it 's going to be fixed. Let's check the next update. Hope it won't take too long, and that it includes some more fixes and features.
If I receive further news, I'll post it here.

Hi all,
Today I found 7.0.1 on P1's server, downloaded and installed it. A first test on the print dialog shows for 4x6 borderless on HP9180:
# margin sliders no longer disappear when pulled left
# input now accepts '0' in all margin input fields without getting stuck
Nice!

Hi All
I managed to get printing to work by choosing a 2x2 Template contact sheet and then resizing the grid Columns and Rows down to 1 (in the Layout tab).
This allowed the margins (in the Margins tab) to then be edited to a value of 1 ... the NaN value disappears.
Then I set Layout > Cell Height slider to maximum and the Cell Width slider to maximum.
Rows, Columns set to 1 and Cell Border set to 0.
The image then appeared normally in the preview pane
The settings remain so long as I don't touch the Left or Right margin sliders.
regards
