Specifying Crop Dimensions

Sometimes I'm able to type in specific crop dimensions in my "crop" toolbox, but more often than not the "size" boxes just won't accept any data. I want an unconstrained ratio but that doesn't seem to make a difference anyway, and I've rest the tool to its defaults, and all sorts of other things. Am I missing something? Anyone else experience this? I just want to type in 5.75 x 7.50 and have a crop box that size. Why can I do it sometimes and not others?

  Have you checked for Unconstrained ratio while entering manual values?
