Hummmm.... This seems to be a sort of bug, and I would suggest to ask the Phase One team.
As far as I am concerned, I have never asked C1 to delete the files on the card after importing, however, as I am not sure of what it would do.

    Hello,
how can I delete images after importing permanently?
I´m shooting with a Sony alpha 7 III and 7 R III and when marked "Delete after import" the camera will show that the images are still on the card but it is not possible for the camera to display them (black screen)
I want the SD card to be empty after import into capture.
    thanks!

    Julie,

If you are absolutely certain that you will never need the fed the files on the card ever again after import ... you are more confident of computer systems never having a glitch than 99.9999% of other users.

My recommendation would be to import, check all is well (including any backups expected) and then put the card back in the camera that will next use it and format it.

Better still, only format the card when you really need to because up to that point it will still act as yet another backup source.

Enter camera menu and select "Recover Image DB" (I'm using a7II but I presume it has the same name). Images have been deleted from the card but the book-keeping by camera needs to be updated.
