    Just a little update.
When I am in Capture One and select the 10 files in the focus stack and do "Open With HeliconFocus" the resulting tif crashes Capture One when I go to import it.
When I export the 10 files as tif from Capture One and process those and export the result as a tif Capture One imports it fine.

From my understanding this is the right workflow. Since 9.2 you can use "Edit with..." (not: Open with) command and select Helicon Focus. The program (you need to update Helicon Focus to the latest version or 6.7.1 at least) will return the merged TIFF automatically in your Capture One collection.

Phase One support had me delete Capture One program and reinstall it.
I also deleted com.phaseone.captureone9.* from preferences
    Deleted the process queue.

Now it works fine. So something got messed somewhere along the line. Now I can import the .tif files from HeliconFocus just fine.

However, not sure how the resulting file would turn up back in Capture One. You send multiple files to HeliconFocus and then save the result file. How would you name it for Capture One to see it and load it? Or does the name not matter? Capture One just sees any new file in the directory and imports it?

For example when I send a file to Photoshop using Edit with and when I am done with it I save it, and it has the same name. Capture One imports the file.
