No, I'm still having the same problem. Happens sometimes when the camera is turned off, sometimes if the tether cord loses connection. Anyone have any advice on this problem???!!! Help!

First aid is looking at your cable. Most connectivity problems come from cable and/or USB ports not providing enough power. With longer cables use a powered USB hub.

    CF card removed from camera?
    Tried different USB ports?

You said you have the latest version. Is that 7.1?

This is a MAJOR issue. Im a location shooter and always disconnecting the camera. 5D MrkII and1ds MrkIII. I now get the spinning wheel of death every time I disconnect. Have to force quit. This is the buggiest software release. Need to figure out how to get back to version 6.

Which version of CO7 do you use? Have you updated to CO Pro 7.1 already?

I too had no end of problems with tethering 5DII and in my case 10.8.2 However on another thread it was suggested to do a totally clean install and remove all previous versions of Capture one and its preferences.
There are Phase one instructions for this...
But it fixed the problem for me!

Have done a clean install as suggested. Still crashes everytime I try and reconnect the camera. As a location shooter this is a HUGE issue. Looking for other suggestions before I ask for my money back.

Have you already opened a support case? If not I strongly suggest you do that.

Even after installing a new hard drive and doing a clean install of both OS X 10.8.3 and Capture One 7.1.1 Tethered shooting is a nightmare. Disconnecting camera to move to next location I turn camera off and wait for it to disconnect. Reconnecting is impossible with out restarting Capture One. Actually I end up having to force quit Capture One. Then reconnect the camera and let it start up Capture One. What a waist of time. Does not make me look good in front of clients either...

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.
