Reordering images in slideshow

Hello,
Very simple but very frustrating question - how can I reorder images to view in a slideshow? I can't believe this isn't possible, but have spent ages looking for this very simple functionality but to no avail.
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  Hi
  
  The slideshow will show the images in the thumbnail list in which order they are currently displaying on screen.
  The thumbnail browser can be reordered in many different ways like name, date, ranking etc etc.
  You can hide images from slide show by using the filter option.
  You can also show slideshow based on images from different folders by the help of Albums. And filter across several folder with the help of Smart Albums.

  Hi, thanks for the reply.
  I appreciate the functionality that you mention and I find these tools all very useful. Perhaps what I should have said in my original post is that I would like to reorder images manually within a folder, for example by dragging and dropping them to a different position along the 'FIlm strip'. This would help me when reviewing and selecting images
