Multiple catalogs

I am currently working with the 30 day trial to see if C1 will work for me as a Lightroom replacement. My question is; is there a way to open C1 with just 1 catalog instead of the 3 that I have ported over from LR. I generally only need 1 at a time. I have tried launching the Catalog directly, but it seems to choose another catalog to open. However, it doesn't seem to be loading the other 2, but again it isn't opening the 1 that I selected.

  I don't clearly understand what happens, but did you try to go to Preferences -> General : catalog and session, then uncheck "open in new window" ?

  I think your problem is that Capture One opens all catalogs you had open the last time when you start it.
  
  If you don't want that you can:
  1) Close all catalogs before quitting Capture One.
  2) Start Capture One with the alt key pressed. Then Capture One will let you choose which catalog to open.
