Phase One 8.0.1 OpenCL Bug?
Hi,
I just updated to 8.0.1 and noticed that under C1 > Preferences > General > Hardware Acceleration
By default both Display and Processing is set to Never (I thought it turns on by default?), so I changed both to Auto but this is what I experience next
https://copy.com/thumbs_public/UTKvtb4FnJ4xZccx/Screen%20Shot%202014-10-18%20at%2010.58.43%20AM.png?size=1024
These black stuffs that look like noise will appear whenever I scroll to different photos or scrolling through the different presets, so I guess this is OpenCL at work? But does it suppose to display small black spots all over the image during preview?

Sorry to say this so clear, as a pro working with the IQ 180 you can imagine i produce many pics and i need to work on this high performance equipment, and his is not only relevant for the Camera but also for the Mac. So there is no room left for excuses to be honest. Phase One announced the Version 8 of Co exactly with this amazing speed, without any warnings about it will not work on Yosemite. I payed money for the Upgrade from 7 to 8 and now P1 told me to turn off the OpenCl? Not really, Photoshop CC2014, Blender, and all the rest of this program work fine, really fine.
Really i hope it will not be a nightmare like the USB3 Support on the IQ backs. This took around 1,5 Years to be fixed.
Can you provide some workaround like other Drivers or what ever to get a kind of hotfix?
Best
Eric
almost 2 month since ios 8 was released and they had not updated capture pilot to work with the new ios. but if you visit the app store you get zero information that ios 8 is not supported. does this sound familiar ?0 -

Sorry, what happens with iOS 8 and C1-Pilot? I haven't upgraded iOS on my iPad yet, just in case....0 -
don´t upgrade ! capture pilot does not work with ios 8 ! 0 -
just updated my Yosemite to 10.10.1 (developer Preview) and the CL Bug is still there. So no chance to get this fixed by Apple in the next release.
One question to the R+D from Phase One. Do you report this behavior to Apple? So do they know this is an OS Issue?

I have a late 2013 MBP and for the first time, Open CL is working with C1 8.01 and OS X 10.10. 0 -
There should be an update to Capture Pro 8 that will fix this issue. I imagine not too long from now so I'm just being patient about it but we will get one soon. 0 -
Hi all,
just finish the update to OS X 10.10.1 (14B23) and still the same issue. So I think the fix have to com from the CO Team, it will not be fixed by Apple.
By the way Drew, some people by a new MAC and this is coming with Yosemite installed, so it hurts not only the people which updated from Maverick but also the one with new hardware ☹️

Or old hardware as the wife of a colleague found out when she updated her iPad recently and the latest IOS update seemed to trash it.

I'm happy to say that with 8.0.2 bug I had was squashed 😊 0 -
YEP just did a test on mac pro ( cylinder ) with Yosemite OS X 10.10.1 (14B25) and finally its done 😄.
Problem solved by Phase One. Good job.
Only one small thing. if he start to develop the raw (iq180) it look like he start, then make a small break, then show up 7 sec to go, counter is not working (maybe the system is to fast) then suddenly CC2014 start and the picture is loaded 😊

Actually... the completion of the Process is just too fast for the counter.
Before it has time to estimate and measure the load, it's nearly done. 😄0
