Capture 4.5 Pro on older macs?

Hi. has anyone tried to use 4.5 pro on older (G4) non-intel macs? The specifications just say that it MAY work on older equipment, but suggests intel processor as a 'minimum'. I'm just wondering if it is worthwhile upgrading or if it just won't work.
