Me too! Does anyone have any idea how long it usually takes for Capture One to implement support for new cameras? I have a bunch of Raw images I can't process!

I had the same with my camera and when I was using lightroom, I made it through that time by using Adobe DNG converter...

    Hello,
We do not have specific dates on support or releases. Phase One is continually working to expand out raw processing capabilites. Please look to future versions for the support of your camera system.

    Best regards,
    Team Phase One Support

You guys are just too logical.... 😉

These regular posts every time a manufacturer "releases" a new camera are, in my opinion, a sort of "selfie" to announce to the world that the poster is in possession of the "latest and greatest" camera EVAH.

Realistically, since usually all third party RAW conversion application vendors will take a while to release something compatible, as a buyer one should have plans about how one will deal with the lack of support from one's favourite RAW converter for a few weeks. An alternative would be to delay the purchase for a few weeks by which time the main street price may have "stabilized" to something sensible and the favourite RAW converter vendor may well have a release that supports the new acquisition.

    Just my opinion of course.

Anyway, from a personal point of view I NEED TO KNOW why PHASE are not yet SUPPORTING the Canon 5D Mk 7.

I know it has not yet been announced (or even rumoured) but it's bound to appear one day, right? So why is it not yet supported and what plans are there to rectify that oversight? 👿

Was hoping for D7200 support in 8.2,2 but it did not happen.
Can't wait for the next update .

    Hallo,

since March the Nikon D7200 is available. But CatureOne Pro.....no RAW file support.
Competitors are already able to read the D7200 RAW files.

    ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ !!!

Today came the second update 8.3 still with now support for the D7200. But support for The Canon 5DS wich is not yet released.
The D7200 is out since March.
Why not at least preliminary support for D7200 ?
    I just don't understand . Very sad .

    Hi,
while I understand your request and possible frustration it's important to take into account that the equation has two sides: P1 with their implementation of the support of new cameras; and support from the maker or lack of it paired with possible difficulties related to new sensors. I for my part have learned the lesson so no more jumping on newly released cams, especially not when there's an important work ahead and I want/need to shoot RAW. For less important stuff shooting RAW+JPG is a workaround so I have the files ready from in-camera processing (not that bad) and if rework based on the RAW data is necessary it can be done when support is released.

I also find it frustrating that the latest 8.3 release still doesn't have support for D7200. I know it takes time to implement, but it just seems kind of long, especially when compared to the competitors.
