The token you want is “image nameâ€.

Thanks very much. That works well. Having said that it doesn't make much sense to me that this is the way it's done. I mean wouldn't "Original Name" make more sense? In any case thanks again as I move on ... 😄

I think 'Original Name' is a specific IPTC field related to Getty Images Metadata.

Useful for those who work with the Getty Images Photo Library.

Potentially confusing to those who do not.

    HTH.

Why do C1 import to a session if you already ingest image files with Photo Mechanic (PM)?

Getting image files from removable media (like a card in a card reader) to a specific folder on disk with renaming and more done on the fly is PM territory, C1 import to sessions is a waste of time if you have PM.

If you have a working session in C1, try PM ingest to the session's Capture folder. Open the session and see the result. C1 gracefully adopts image files and xmp sidecar files put there by PM.

If you don't have a working session, you would still know the path to where the Session-name folder would reside on disk if you created the session Sesion-name in C1. Try starting with a PM ingest to path\Session-name\Capture, creating path\Session-name\Capture on the fly. Then use C1 to create Session-name in path. You now have a new session Session-name with image files in Session-name\Capture, no C1 import involved at all.
