question about the col45 file.
I really like the new uploader in version 4.6. But the col 45 is causing problems with my rimage machine that makes all of the back-up cd's. I called rimage and they said I should just delete the col 45 file before I backed up. That did solve the problem on the cd back-up, but that causes another problem when I try to reopen capture one. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? What does that file contain? Is it a replacement for the old 3.7.8 preview file folder? Can I just move the col file to a new spot and save it?

The .col45 file holds information about the session like the folders that are assigned the session folders (Capture, Output, Trash, MoveTo) but also the size and location of the program windows IIRC.
If you use CO 4.5 or later in its regular (non-Pro) version, you don't deal with sessions other than the default Capture One session. That is why the Capture One.col45 located in that folder. When you create other session with the Pro/DB version, you will find different .col45 files in their respective locations. Deleting a session file results in losing the organization of files and folders, but no data or adjustments is lost. Capture One will create a new session file on request if it does not find the file or asks for an existing one (Pro/DB).
It seems that your backup software is not able to handle files with a longer than 3-character extension. Hmm, can it backup a .html file? 😉0
