Can't set "move-to" folder?!
Hi all...
Maybe somebody can help me.
In no way can I set the "move-to" folder in CO4.6
I can create folders, can set capture, and trash folders, but the move-to just doesn't "take". Initially I thought it might just be a slow refresh issue or something (and boy oh boy is this version SLOOOOW) but trying to move a file brings up a pop-up that requests that I set a folder first.
Is this a "feature" that I just don't know how to use?
(and before anybody asks, I tried it by right-clicking and choosing "move-to". ctrl+click, and in the main menu... none worked for the move-to option)

CO 4.x comes with a default session and in that session is a MoveTo folder (on disk) and from CO 4 the Move-To session folder is assigned to that physical folder. Next, you can assign the Move-To session folder for that session to a different physical folder.
Every time you create a new session, all session folder are created (both on disk and CO4 assigning their function to it.
You are probably aware of the above, but I try to understand where it is going wrong. Do you still have a Move-To session folder in your current session, have you create a new session and tried to assign to Move-To session folder to another physical folder?0 -
Hi Paul,
Yes, I am aware of the set-up.
we have created a new session, and a new folder, and when trying to assign the new folder a "move-to" status... nothing happens. We can assign it any other status, just not "move-to"... no errors, no pop-ups, no messages... it just doesn't happen.
This is on a portable/external drive... not that it has made any kind of difference in the past. I cannot create the move-to folder on a local drive either.

Sean, I would love to spend more time on this but I am out of options. Sorry! Support case as last resort (I know you love to do that 😉 ) 0 -
I have the same problem, I can't assign a folder as my MOVE-TO folder.
But in addition, I can't assign an OUTPUT folder either.
When I click to process a picture, I get the standard mac pop-up that says:
THE OUTPUT FOLDER DOES NOT EXIST. PLEASE SELECT AN OUTPUT FOLDER.
I've tried re-starting, re-installing, creating a new session... nothing works.
I'm using a Mac Pro with OS ver 10.5, pictures located in an internal drive. I've never seen this problem when working on a PC.
Has anyone experienced this?[quote="Sean" wrote:

I shifted from C1-4.6 standard edition to C1-4.6 PRO version, this problem doesn't exist in the PRO version. Strange. [quote="NN" wrote:

If this problem occurs with CO 4.6 (standard, non-Pro), I would delete the session file (CaptureOne.col45) in the Capture One Library folder. 0
