color readouts does nothing

In the view menu, whether I select color readouts or not, I still get the color readouts. Sometimes, I dont need the distraction.

    Change cursor tool to something else than the color readout.

    The toggle to whether or not show the color readouts is effective with all other cursor tools then the color readout cursor tool. As long as the color readout cursor tool is selected, the color readout will always be displayed.

    Do you mean the pinned readouts feature or the readouts in the Viewer's toolbar?

    You can turn off the Viewer toolbar but as far as I know it cannot be edited.
