I cannot open an CO v7 catalogue
When I try to open the CO V7 catalogue with CO 9.1.1 the system say this is an old catalogue, that I need to actualice and that the program cannot open. Bye.
The technical support tellme this is because I have to remap the path to the catalogue... ¿Why can I do that?
The catalogue is on local disk (external, USB) not in a LAN...
Technical support say this will fit the problem, but I cannot imagine where to do it.
If I click con the catalogue the program say the same: old catalogue, need to actualice and he (the program) will do not do it because is an old catalogue that need to be actualiced.
I can open the catalogue with the CO v7.
If I try to open with CO 8 or 9, I cannot.

I'm not sure what "actualise" means but the internal data formats have been changed as new version have been developed and the newer versions need to update the old catalogues which they can do automatically but not without your acceptance.
C1 will save a copy of your existing V7 (or whatever version is being updated) catalogue and create a new file for use with the updated catalogue.
The processing engine has also been updated a few times and you can choose to keep the old engine's version or update to the latest processing on an image by image basis if desired. In some cases I elect to crate a new variant and then use that as the updated version keeping the previous version with it. It's something that helps to identify any differences between the original and the new version.
Does this help you with your question?

I don't know how to remap the path to your catalog. Maybe with an sql query? I never tried.
But you can try to import the old v7 catalog into a new, empty v9 one. This fixed some catalog upgrade issues for me. But CO will rebuild all previews from scratch. That's a long run for large catalogs.

Thanks Hans but it do not run. When I try to import the old v7 catalogue into the new 9 the program says the same: this is a catalogue which needs to be actualized an than capture one 9.1 cannot do it... 0
