Why would some thumbnails render nicely, and then a minute later,
be replaced by an icon? Hate that icon thing. Rebuild does nothing.
Preview image works
This icon only thing killed my interest in EM2, ruined my trial of
Media Pro 1 and after doing very nicely for 10 days, suddenly appears
in trial Media Pro 1.0.1.5. Cannot have an indexing program
without the index material.
What could be so difficult about bringing in a thumbnail which I
can see in every other application, finder, etc?

support says have "use embedded preview" OFF in all cases.
does this comport with your experience?0 -

So doing the opposite of the tutorial video is the temp fix? I think I'll give it a try.
This may slow down building the preview, but better than not seeing it.
My issue maybe unrelated to MisterZ's problem, as I have random icons displaying and some showing images, and some file types not displaying and some do, etc. I have mixed file types appear in a specific selected file type. It's hard to contact support when the problems are visual and hard to pin point the likely cause, specially when there are so many options to enable or disable something and user error is likley high, so I bring it here to the forums. My Update record has been spinning on #31 of 294 (a tif file) for over 10 min now 😭0
