    Hi Drew,

These are great news. I am going to explore the new features right away. From what I am seeing this may greatly enhance my pre-editing capabilities. The extra activation is a big plus as well.

Are there any release notes available for Capture One 9?

I would like to know, if there are any changes in the support for Fuji X-Trans (Auto-Masking), and if the Performance on the Retina 5k iMacs is better now. Are there also changes in the DAM-Part of C1 9 (Performance)?

As in "purchased" or just upgraded the release of V8?

You can download the trial and run a compare by installing side by side.

That said, as with all things software, awaiting some feedback from early adopters in the real world after the test world (no matter how real people might wish to make that) is not necessarily a bad thing.

    Just my opinion of course.

    Grant.

Just launched CO 8 and it gave me the option to upgrade. Very easy smooth process. Can't wait to give all the new features a try. Thanks PhaseOne team for doing an outstanding job. PS Thanks for the three activations. Now I can use my MacBook Air if I get into a pinch.

    Thanks for the link.
Still NO news for Fuji users - still no X-Trans Support for auto-masking and repair layers 🤬

Am curious if the new keyword system performs better.

Noticed a typo on the 'what's new' page:
    Export Originals as EIP (Catalog)
The power of EIP is bought to the Catalog workflow. Export a RAW with its adjustments in a packed file for easy export and repurposing to retouchers or archive.

    Hey P1 Crew
For cyber monday P1 actually made a price increase? I've been looking forward to get a discount on a license, but now the price is even higher. I only need a ver 8 license, can I get it for last weeks 229 euro price?

    Regards
    Peter

looks like the supportcases were used to improve only the fee-based version.
9.x is released. and there ist still no 8.x version full functioning with el capitain.
    that's not very customer friendly!

Care to explain what's not functioning? I'm running CO8.x successfully on El Captain.

I can garantee (and as a tester, I do not use this word a lot) you that nothing has been done to make CO 8 slower. We simply have no interest in doing so.

Is anyone else having problems activating? I get the following error... Serial # is correct.

Could not activate because of an unknown error.

    Rob,
Create a support case and they'll look into it. There's no immediate worry as the software runs with full access for the next 30 days at no cost.

Am I correct in thinking that to upgrade my CO 8 to CO 9 (single user) it will cost me €269 but additionally +25% vat because I am in the UK?

I am not against paying for version upgrades but €269 seems a bit steep. I think I better check out what's new in version 9 that makes such a price worthwhile. I am an amateur photographer with no earned income!

Incorrect. Upgrade cost is $99. Purchase cost (no previous version) is $299.
Not sure how the VAT works in the UK but you'd be basing it off the upgrade price, not the full version price.

....Thanks, Drew! Your prompt and helpful response is much appreciated.

I just found that $99 upgrade info but buried in the Blog Review and not on the main Upgrade web page but I may have missed it.

I will definitely be upgrading in a few days after I have read what other users report about any bugs. I am always recommending CaptureOne - I don't use all of it but really like its RAW processing.

Am considering Media Pro as well.

Wouldn't you think that one month is very little?
I upgraded V 7 to V 8 on October 19...(and upgraded from several previous versions before that) - now here we go - another $ 99 not even a month and a half after upgrading to V8?
