C1 4.1.1 vs C1 4.5 PRO sharpening issue
Hi every one! I'm going to buy the new C1 4.5 PRO and I'm trying out the demo. I make a comparison with a 4.1.1 friend. Here the results...The 4.1.1 preview is sharper than the 4.5 one...
4.1.1 IMAGE
4.5 PRO IMAGE
Exporting the files they are perfect (same sharpening)...So it's only a rendering problem, I think...

That's not good as I guess you would over sharpen the V4.5 image... 0 -
Edward, if you look the sharpening settings are exactly the same... 0 -

It's the same here... with 4.5pro on my Windows PC there is absolutley no sharpening applied to previews (below 25%). Either I set zero or highest amount and radius the preview (to fit) does not change; it's extremely soft. In 4.1.2 previews are great - on the same machine.

Strange thing is on my Mac (Macbook) it's just fine. Sharpening of the previews is quite good.
So you see on Mac what I see on Windows but what I do not see on Mac 😕0 -
I'm on a Mac Book Pro 2,2 ghz OSX.5.5... 0 -

Macbook here is 10.5.5, too. 2 cores 2,4GHz, 3GB RAM. The Windows runs 4 cores 2.4GHz, 4GB RAM.

The Macbook graphic cipset has no separate RAM... so maybe the pipeline is different...
But, again, on the same Windows machine 4.1.2 and 4.5pro produce different results - same as you described above.0 -
I find that when I load an image it will appear sharp for a second and then go out of focus. It seems to just be on the display, but what is causing this and how do I make it stop? 0 -
I find the exact same thing and is why I am on here now. The previews come into focus perfectly and then soft. I had to really overcompensate with the sharpening to get it to where it was in previous versions. What is going on with this? Please answer. 0 -
I have found pulling the thumbnail column (when set in "place beside") over to make the preview smaller and the thumbnails bigger makes the preview sharp. You can see it "snap" to sharp as you pull it over to about 2 thumbnails wide or just under a 1/3 of the screen. Not the biggest preview in the world but its been a useable workaround for editing until its fixed. 0 -
This issue will be addressed in a service release coming very soon. 0
