moving workspace
hi,
I have C1 running on my Notebook and arranged the workspace. Now I want to use C1 also on my iMac and use the same workspace I've defined on my Notebook without arranging everything manually again.
There should be a file which stores the workspace, but I could not find it.
Can anyone give me a hint ?
thank you
Holger

got it...
.../Library/Application Support/Capture One/Workspaces
it was actually quite easy if you Look into the right Folder 😊0 -
I assume you already know this, but just in case...
Be sure to save your notebook workspace with a name you'll recognized, and then go into the above folder and copy that workspace to the other Mac.
Suggestion: since your desktop probably has a larger screen than your laptop, you might want to modify the workspace to speed working on the desktop. If you do that, just arrange as you want and then save the new workspace. You could use names like "My Workspace MBP" and "My Workspace iMac" for example.0 -
thank you Isme for the hint,
that was exactly the topic I've faced, that the workspace on the MB does not really fit to the iMac 😊0 -
Hi,
I have the opposite problem 😊
I usually use C1 on my Win7 desktop and recently I installed it on my new Win10 NoteBook.
The workspace is customized, and I save it each time I change something (a sort of "versioning" 😉 ).
The problem is that even if I've found on my PC the Workspace directory, it doesn't contains files with the names I given to each setup.
I found .XML files with the classical names (i.e.: "Default.xml", "Simplified.xml" end so on).
After having saved my WS another time, I quit C1 and did a search on the whole PC for the latest files saved (Search for *.* ordered by time).
Nothing useful.
Before I start loosing my head doing on the NoteBook the same adjustment I did on the Desktop, I wandering if there is a way not to waste my time...
Does anyone know a way to copy a file or a directory from one computer to another, so both will have the same WorkSpace setting?
Thank you in advance0 -

With Windows the personalised workspaces should typically be found here:
C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\CaptureOne\Workspaces
If not there you either have hidden files or something strange i happening.
HTH.

Thank you, Grant.
I'll look at this as soon as I'm back home.
Actually, on my work NoteBook here in the office, I've just saved a WS for testing purpose and found the corresponding XML file in the path you've provided.
Hope this could solve my issue.
Thank you very much! 😄0 -
It works!
You can move the .XML files form one platform to another and see the WorkSpaces listed.
This could be useful to backup the files too.
Good!
Thank you very much! 😊0
