REBEL XT TETHERING ISSUES C1P 3.7.3

I've tried every way to get the Rebel XT (350D) to tether to the software. I'm using a 12" Powerbook 1.5 ghz with OS 10.4.7 and 768 Ram. I constantly get Connection Failed Error 0c000080. Do I need any of the Canon software installed? Please help.

  I found the file to delete but where am I supposed to get the new file to replace it with?

  replace it with the older 10.4.6 (maybe an older one) version. (SAVE this file somewhere else...) Then it will work.

  
  
  This is an Apple and Canon issue.
  It is hoped the next update of Tiger resolves the problems.

  You have got the camera set for computer, not printer haven't you?
  
  Camera menu> wrench / hammer 2 > Communication > PC (not printer). Do this and use Keith's solution and all will be rosy 😊
