P25 tethered, but running with own batterie?
Hi!
I just encountered an issue which of course is on Apples side: on 57% my Apple 12" G4 Powerbook reduced the energy level on my firewire port, which caused purpe lines on my images. I plugged the Powerbook in and all was fine.
On the P45 the energy source can be chosen which would be fantastic also for the P25.
Will there be a firmware update which can do that?
thanks!
cheers Nicolas

You can get a 'no power' firewire adapter from Capture Integration.
http://www.captureintegration.com/sales ... lator.html
This will prevent any power from the firewire bus getting to the back, therefore forcing the back to use it's own power. The only problem is that the cable does not fit into the P25, it's too fat. You can cut it down, or use it between your normal firewire cable and your computer.
Hope that helps.0 -

thanks alot!
But what do mean by "it's too fat"? The bluewhite plug, or the black one? Or is the black part the female? All this refers to the link provided by you...
thanks

Hi:
The blue part is too fat. It's easier to just use it between the computer and your usual FW cable.0 -
