Console message: nkdrivermacosxentry
I noticed the other day while viewing the OSX Console utility that two lines repeat over and over again several times a second:
6/22/12 9:30:24 AM [0x0-0xb60b6].com.phaseone.captureone[14157] NkDriverMacOSXEntry - GetDeviceList
6/22/12 9:30:24 AM [0x0-0xb60b6].com.phaseone.captureone[14157] NkDriverMacOSXEntry - result(0)
This was on a Mac Pro running C1Pro 6.4.2 and OSX 10.6.8
I tried this on another Mac (MacBook Pro) that was recently updated to C1Pro 6.4.2 and is running OSX 10.6.8 and got the same phenomenon with a slightly different Sender[PID]
6/22/12 9:30:24 AM [0x0-0x15015].com.phaseone.captureone[412] NkDriverMacOSXEntry - GetDeviceList
6/22/12 9:30:24 AM [0x0-0x15015].com.phaseone.captureone[412] NkDriverMacOSXEntry - result(0)
I checked this against another identical MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.8 and C1Pro 6.3.2 and didn't get a single one of these lines.
Is this something new? Is this normal?
Using Google I found only a single mention of "nkdrivermacosxentry" which was on a community support forum discussing problems with tethered capture in Lightroom using Lion.
Any info would be appreciated.

This is the Nikon SDK (driver for D5100 specifically) looking for a new camera "event" i.e is there a camera attached or not. It is a fairly erroneous message and can be ignored.
If it becomes unbearable you can disable the Nikon driver from the prefs and relaunch. It should then not show in the console log.0 -
Thanks James, I really appreciate it. It is often strange little things like this that get noticed and cause us to delay rolling out the new version to all users, it's great to get a quick explanation so that we can move forward. 0
