Tether on macbook

Hi, can anyone tell me if I will be able to tether successfully with CO8 on the latest basic spec 13 inch retina macbook pro, or are higher specs needed? Thanks
I should also add that I'm using a D800

13-inch: 2.6GHz
with Retina display
Specifications
2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz
8GB 1600MHz memory
128GB PCIe-based flash storage1
Intel Iris Graphics

  I can not think of a reason that it should not work.

  Paul's right - it should work just fine.
  
  Only having 8GB of ram definitely isn't ideal (it just won't be especially speedy with rendering previews or processing) and you might run in to some connectivity issues if you're using a cheap powered USB3 extension cable without a powered hub - but otherwise you should be totally fine.
