    I am having similar experience, though not as bad as the original poster. I have a folder of honeymoon images, c. 1400 from a Canon 20D (8MB each) and it takes a long time (20-30s) to display the images when I flip between folders. If I arrange them into albums of similar topics its much quicker. But during the process of assigning images to albums its a PITA.

    Is there a recommended limit of the number of images in a folder that C1 will handle with ease.

    2008 Quad 2.8GHz Mac Pro, 6GB RAM, 1.8TB storage so not exactly a snail of a Mac!

    Its a shame that you've started putting the previews in the same folder as the images as being able to move the cache folder to a different volume used to speed things up a lot in C1 v3 days.
