4.1.1 slow performing
i have a MacPro 3 Ghz with 8 Go of Ram
The software is unusable since it so slow !
if you have a gig Folder with 4000 images it is impossible to do any operations !
Since after scanning for the folder 5 ot 10 minutes, if you do any action the software calculate again ( i don't now what !)
i give you the hand for a sec and calculate again !

I think it is safe to say that your problem lies with that. Try a folder with a reasonable amount of images, say 200? then you should see much better performance.0 -

I am having similar experience, though not as bad as the original poster. I have a folder of honeymoon images, c. 1400 from a Canon 20D (8MB each) and it takes a long time (20-30s) to display the images when I flip between folders. If I arrange them into albums of similar topics its much quicker. But during the process of assigning images to albums its a PITA.
Is there a recommended limit of the number of images in a folder that C1 will handle with ease.
2008 Quad 2.8GHz Mac Pro, 6GB RAM, 1.8TB storage so not exactly a snail of a Mac!
Its a shame that you've started putting the previews in the same folder as the images as being able to move the cache folder to a different volume used to speed things up a lot in C1 v3 days.0
