    Hi Peter,
From what camera are your files from? Just for clarity's sake.

CaptureOne has a response curve (under the Exposure Evaluation tab). Have you set that to flat? It's basically CaptureOne's basest level of bias when it comes to rendering previews of RAW files of any sort. The other applications your comparing the previews to will probably have a bias as well.

    Hi,

it is a Canon 1000d (i'm an amateur).

The test image is a JPG (not taken with my cam).

Didn't change any settings in this test case.

    Regards,

    Peter

    Hey,

    Had a few thoughts...

Is View>Proof Profile set to "no profile"? If not you may be previewing the file in a different colourspace (e.g. if you are using "selected recipie".

Is the image you are viewing tagged with a LAB colourspace? I'm not sure C1 supports that.

In the "Base Characteristics" tool it should read "Jpeg file- neutral" and "linear response"?

If its not these I would guess it might be to do with C1 using a different color engine but that doesn't seem right?? AFAIK C1 uses the apple CMM so there can be differences when when viewing in Photoshop (using adobe color engine). But I thought preview would have used Apples Cmm. Could be the programs are using different Black point compensation, but I'm know color expert so maybe another user can help if its none of the above...

    Hi,

I'm using the Express version which doesn't have the Proof Profile dialog.

The image comes with no profile.

Base Characteristics are set to Jpeg file- neutral and linear response.

    Regards,

    Peter

Hi beyond what I suggested I can't help you further, I have no experience with express. It may be worth contacting phase one support.
