B/W Negative "scan"
Hi,
I'm looking for a smart workflow to shoot and convert a batch of B/W medium format negatives using Capture One 9.2
I'll be using a Canon 5DsR and lightbox.
I can manually move and invert the ends of the levels to produce a "negative" image which I can then adjust. However is there another way?
Is there a "convert / invert" button.
Has anyone a quick smart workflow - ideally someone who does this regularly?
Many thanks,
Peter

There are 2 "inverse" Styles in the Colour section for styles.
I would think that with a B&W you could just use a Pre-set and apply that automatically either at Capture (assuming tethered copying) or on a batch import or, simply, an a batch edit post import.
There may be some more sophisticated suggestions out there - it's not something I have spent any real time looking into but I see no reason for the suggestions not to work.
HTH.

Grant's suggestion of using one of the inverse styles is better than dragging the levels to their opposite ends (or dragging the curve ends to the opposite corners) because you can then still use the levels tool or the curves tool to adjust the image once you have inverted it, without getting really confused!

I'm missing something here. Where are these "inverse" styles?

Adjustments > Styles > Built-in Styles > Color Effects.
In the list you will see Color Effects - Inverse 1 and Color Effects - Inverse 2.

Sounds like a plan - and yes forgot to mention I'll be shooting tethered!
